Immrama Insight CD Review

The Insight CD was one of the first CDs I purchased after looking into Holosync.

Whats different about it is its use of multiple entrainment with harmonic layering emulating the Awaken Mind Profile. Following is an excerpt from Anna Wise Website explaining the Awakened Mind Brainwave Pattern:

Entraining more than two entrainment beats or states is very difficult, Insight CD seems to have done a good job. All other CDs I have heard that try this, gives me a headache.

I had a look "under the hood" using some of the analysis tools available, there is definitely multiple entrainment beats used from Alpha, Beta, Theta, Delta, and even Gamma Spikes.

From my research one can only pull this off using harmonic relationships between the pitches and the beats, the mind seems to be able to jump between harmonics quite easily. One can understand from standard music theory that there is chordal harmony between music notes, likewise there is harmonics between pitches and entrainment beats. One can try to emulate this in NP2 or MWS.

I found Holosync was expensive, and required a lot more dedication every day, which I would rather devote to meditation instead.

I was very satisfied with the Insight CD as my first experience of brainwave entrainment technology. Every time I used to listen to it I a state of mind, like coming out out of an deep meditation session. I remember once session where I actually felt the raindrops hitting my head! I have heard nothing negative out of all the friends and family who have tried it.

As with all other CDs, you cannot change aspects of the entrainment, but coupled with NP2 or MWS, this is a good CD to have in addition, and one of the only few I would recommend.
