Waheguru Simran by Bhai Satwinder Singh Ji

Repetition of the gurmantra "Waheguru" is sacred to the Sikhs.
Waheguru can be thought of "Wow!" Guru, Guru translates to one who brings us into light from darkness. The amazement of the wonder of the Guru who can accomplish such a feat, who can attach us to the Shabad, the light and sound within us and the bliss resulting from it.

Repetition of the mantra or Nam given by the Guru, controls the mind, and purifying it to receive the Shabad, Unstruck Sound Current or True Nam within us.

Simran or repetition is not an unnatural thing to the mind, the mind loves dwelling on things repeately in doing so becomes attached to it. The "Secret" is also Simran, whatever we repeat in our minds, we attract. Thoughts materializes, good or bad, whatever we hold true to our heart we repeat in our minds, which then become visual, and then materializes itself one way or the other.
Repeating the words of the Guru, the diciple becomes one with the Guru. Wayword thoughts are brought into order, much like a laser focuses diffused light to cut through anything. Similarly a person in control of his thought currents is able to connect to the Shabad.

The mind is only yet another layer over the physical, which is a great servant but a dreadful master, much of the world's problem today is due to people's lack of control over their minds or thought patterns. The mind is like a apparatus that the body needs to function in this creation. It is said that if one is able to control ones mind, one can control the universe.

Try it, deny yourself a gratification and see how hard it is, but replace that gratification with an alternative it is easier. Eg. replace that tempting chocolate desert with a healthy fruit you will be less tempted to have the desert, replace it with nothing, you will not be able to control the temptation. Similarly repeating the Nam of God, keeps the mind in control, and away from its own dangers. It is often said that "an empty mind is a devil's playground"

This track is a deep relaxation track taking the listener to a deep alpha or relaxed state of mind with the soothing repetition of the gurmantra "Waheguru". Listen to the track after work or at night before sleep.

The audio track is by Bhai Satwinder Singh Ji and Bhai Harvinder Singh Ji, a wonderful Waheguru Simran done, one of the best I heard. The track is slowed down by 5 BPM, reverb, and echo and deep alpha entrainment added. The original can be download from the following link:

Affirmation of the day

Beauty

I find loveliness in myself and others, an inner beauty, unique and cherished. Twinkling behind wrinkled eyelids, or shining through a newborn's face, an eternal grace reveals itself. Even the bright, bare bones of a winter tree show their own stark tranquility. I see the beauty that is, in the old and the new, in the remarkable, the secret, the rare and the common.
